When we all hear the name Jeffree Star, what's the first thing we think of? Beauty scandals! Although Jeffree lives an interesting life swimming in the waters of secrets and drama let me establish who he is and his success.

Jeffree Star, born on the 15th of November in 1985, first made a name for himself in the music industry. He was well known for his days on Myspace as a singer. He had produced album, Beauty Killer, released in 2009. In that album, he featured a young rapper we all know today as Nicki Minaj in his remixed song Lollipop Luxury. His popularity grew to a point to where, even his merchandise, would sell out in an instant. After his popularity kept on growing he signed with Akon, who had just previously signed with Lady Gaga. In the Shane Dawson's five part series, Jeffree explains that dream of signing with Akon led him to a downward spiral of depression and loss of popularity. After he signed with Akon, Akon began to receive criminal charges. Both their reputations took a harsh beating and soon thereafter Jeffree's music career died. See the video below to watch his Akon produced music video,

Jeffree has his own make-up company called “Jeffree Star Cosmetics” where he sells his makeup and merchandise (clothing and accessories). In his most recent updated YouTube video he announces the launch of his new velour lip liners and supreme frosts. The velour lip liners will be retailing at $16.00 with over sixteen shades that are all comparable in colors to his velour liquid lipsticks. All the velour lip liners, he claims, are all vegan and eye safe so this can be used both for lining your lips and for your water line (recommended to keep separate pencils for either our to avoid infections) Now, for his supreme frosts, he has five different shades for the new highlighters. He claims that the regular Frost highlighters are your standard type highlighters and the liquid frosts are the liquified versions of the standard Frost. The Supreme Frost are said to be made with a different formula made in an international lab located in Italy. These highlighters are more pearlescent and “blinding” to the eye. The formula is a gel hybrid glitter that leaves the skin looking dewy and wet. See the video below to sneak a peek at the colors and formulas,

Jeffree is known to have many controversies and scandals behind his name. The longest known scandal is with Kat Von D. The two have known each other for the longest time and are said to have been best friends, however, when Jeffree launched his brand the feud between the two had begun. There had been many tweets and messages going back and forth between the two and it is difficult to side with one person. Kat Von D then released a video stating her side of the story and what her friendship with Jeffree Star had become. In the video she accuses Jeffree of hiring “her” friend who had created artwork for him but was never paid. Jeffree states another story responding to a completely different issue of how Kat was never supportive of his brand since his launch. He often states her “jealousy” is the reason why they aren’t friends anymore. Jeffree denies all allegations made of him not paying the artist and called Kat a liar. There are many more tweets that circulated around the community but it has all be “resolved” between the artist and Jeffree, Kat acknowledged it. However, beef between the two still swings back and forth with many shady tweets an indirect comments.
